Microblading

Lip Blushing

Removal

BEFORE

Like any cosmetic procedure, this is a process. Please do not expect immediate results.
You will need to be patient and understand it is a TWO step process. The initial appointment and then the six week touchup. Both involve the same healing process.

PLEASE AVOID THE FOLLOWING

BLOOD THINNERS
Including but not limited to alcohol, caffeine, pain
killers containing acetaminophen (ibuprofen, aspirin, etc) as well as vitamins that can cause blood to thin. There are too many to list here so please check with your doctor or nutritionist and know the more medications/vitamins you are taking the higher risk of fading.
CHEMICAL PEELS
If you are getting a chemical peel please wait for 7
days to get microblading.
SUNBURNS
If you get a BAD sunburn do not come for microblading until it has fully healed for obvious reasons.
RETINA/RETINAL/GLYCOLIC/SALYCILIC ACID Please stop taking this 14 days prior to your appointment especially in your brow area as it causes the skin to regenerate quicker which thins the skin and can cause fading.

ACCUTANE

You can NOT get microblading done while on Accutane and you must wait at least six months to get microblading after your treatment.

PREGNANT OR NURSING

You CAN get microblading while pregnant!
HOORAY! However, WE ARE NOT TO BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY RISK INCURRED and we do require a doctors clearance with a signed note at the time of the appointment.

BOTOX

If you get botox please make sure it has time to “set” as we want to know where your brows naturally sit on your face so we make sure to put them there and not where botox has them.

CHEMO

Please complete your chemo prior to microblading as it is an added risk for infection and we want to make sure you are fully healed in this hard time.

AFTER

Like any cosmetic procedure, this is a process. Please do not expect immediate results.
You will need to be patient and understand it is a TWO step process. The initial appointment and then the six week touchup. Both involve the same healing process.

WHAT NOT TO DO

DO NOT TOUCH! Bacteria can cause infection and oils will cause fading.
DO NOT PEEL OFF SCABS! If you do, you may cause major fading up to 100%.
DO NOT wear sunglasses that rub against your brows
DO NOT wear hats that rub against your brows

WHAT TO DO

DO keep your brows dry for SEVEN days!
DO sleep on your side or back to avoid direct contact.
AVOID WATER sweating, sun, sauna, pool, lake, ocean, etc for 7 days.

HEALING CREAM

COCONUT OIL (organic preferred) this is to keep brows from becoming over-dry or itchy. Apply only as needed. Use your own judgment. Every skin type is different.

SHAPE & COLOR

Immediately after the procedure, your brows will look much darker and more defined than the final healed results. This can be alarming but do not worry! When they do heal be prepared for the color to be significantly lighter and the overall appearance much softer and more natural. It will take time for this transition, based on how quickly the outer layer of your skin exfoliates. Usually, the exfoliation (peeling) process occurs about 4 to 5 days after the procedure and will be completely healed at about day 7. At that point the contrast between the initial intense and dark color and the new softer and lighter color may be such that you may be very disappointed. DO NOT WORRY! It is expected and normal and you will be receiving a second application, a “perfecting session” in a few weeks. At that time SHAPE and COLOR will be adjusted to your liking. We can add very easily, but it is much more difficult to remove! You must wait at least 6 weeks between applications for the proper time to heal.

BEFORE

It is critical to follow all aftercare instructions to prevent complications, scarring and to achieve optimum
results. Please read carefully.

and/or scarring.
DO NOT eat hot, spicy, or salty foods

HEALING

Immediately following the procedure, lips will feel dry, chapped, tight and tender to the touch. They may appear swollen and bright in color. This can be alarming but do not worry! When they do heal, be prepared for the color to be significantly lighter and the overall appearance much softer and more natural.

PERFECTING

You will be receiving a second application, a “perfecting session” in a few weeks. At that time SHAPE and COLOR will be adjusted to your liking. You must wait at least 4-6 weeks between applications for the proper time to heal.

BEFORE

This is a process. It is critical to follow all aftercare instructions to prevent complications, scarring and to achieve optimum results. Please read carefully.

KEEP AREA CLEAN

Clean and open to the air. Do not cover it with a Band-Aid or anything else, leave it open to the air. Air/oxygen provides good and faster healing. You should not be touching the area at all but if you find yourself needing to please make sure your hands are exceptionally clean.

HOW TO CLEAN

With saline 3 to 4 times a day using a paper towel or gauze. NO ICE.

DO NOT SOAK

WHAT NOT TO DO

No Bathing, Swimming, Saunas, Hot Tubs, Tanning, or Exercise. NO EXCEPTIONS.

SCABBING

DO NOT DISRUPT THE SCABBING PROCESS

(i.e. no picking, scratching, etc.) All scabbing needs to fall off naturally. If you force or pick a scab off you will disrupt the process and possibly cause scarring. It is critical to keep the scabs on as long as possible to achieve optimum results.

ONCE ALL SCABBING HAS NATURALLY FALLEN OFF:

Apply one drop Vitamin E Oil 3 to 4 times throughout the day for a minimum of 4 weeks, or until next lightening session. DO NOT start applying the Vitamin E oil UNTIL all scabbing has naturally and completely fallen off. It is our goal to keep the area as dry as possible until all scabs have naturally fallen off.

TREAT AREA WITH TLC

Do not do anything at all that could cause issues or problems to the treated area.
